Keeping Evidence: Archives, AI and Trust in Public Records

Public Symposium, October 29, 2026 at Library and Archives Canada, Ottawa! Come to the final International Symposium of the InterPARES Trust AI Project, the culmination of 32 years of research led by Luciana Duranti. Opening ceremonies by Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation Elder Verna McGregor, with introductions by Paul Henry, City Archivist at City of Ottawa, and remarks by Karen Linauskas, Director General of Private Archives and Published Heritage, Library and Archives Canada, Sylvie Lamoureux, Chief Operating Officer and Vice-President, Research, Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), Alyssa Hyduk, President of the Association of Canadian Archivists (ACA), and Betina Kuzmarov, Associate Vice-President and Vice-Provost, International Student Experienceand Strategic Partnerships, Carleton University. Convened by Tracey P. Lauriault, Associate Professor, School of Journalism and Communication, Carleton University.
