- Blockchain Technologies 2016 (†789 s.v. "Address"): Addresses (Cryptocurrency addresses) are used to receive and send transactions on the network. An address is a string of alphanumeric characters, but can also be represented as a scannable QR code.
- ISO TC307 N55 (France). 2017 (†858 ): Character string used as an unique identifier involved in the transaction.
- Walport 2016 (†802 p.51): This approach could be used to enforce some Know Your Customer rules, because once a particular wallet address is identified and linked with a physical person, it is possible to uncover all of their transactions. (†2332)
